I sure do and but Im currently on my phone amd need to connect over a rdp to my server and Im a bit lazy now Its almost midnight here. I can connect tomorrow morning. What info do you need? Transaction history?
Great questions Anatoly. PIVX need some detailed, but simply written tutorials about wallet functions (zPIV minting explained) and wallet options (light, mobile, core). Although things are pretty much simple, but some tutorials as well as backup recommendations are highly needed IMHO.
You see, I run a Monero node too. It's much larger in storage (10-20x larger) and transactions cost around 10-1000x more and half as fast. There's a lot to compare but needless to say, I run both. This is the cost of privacy.
I happily pay that cost. The things I spend money on are my business. The things like care about and love are private until I say otherwise.
It already has. I don't know whether overall it's an advantage or disadvantage. BTC is becoming less and less associated with crime. As a result, institutional investors are able to legaly invest... that's certainly one of the reasons for the price pump of 2017
We try not to compare but those are all PoW. PoW has poorly-aligned incentives when multiple currencies are GPU-mineable. Bitcoin is safe from this but there's a problem with an ever increasing power-requirement.Zcash is gives 10% of the PoW block reward to investors, founders and developers. PIVX is sorta like Dash (democratic funding) + Zcash (zero-knowledge proofs) + Blackcoin (PoSv3) + Monero (tail emission + elastic blocks + incoming I2P integration) + killer community (ambassadors, active members, DAO-funded projects) and reliable, innovative developers who have repeatedly unveiled completely new innovations eg. zPoS.PIVX has scalable privacy and high security regardless of how the computational landscape might change as well as a proven commitment to innovation.
Essentially, zDEX and the PIVX core client are open-source. Anyone can fork the code repositories. Even then, Masternode owners democratically appoint our developers. Not that it would ever happen but zDEX and Masternodes could be run on a cloned version of the code and developers could stop receiving funding. People could cease to update if the client pushes KYC. I'm not sure how idex can be decentralised like zDEX but also have KYC. Sounds a bit poo 😝
Next step is getting the numbers setup. Question I saw that public keys start with a D and private keys start with Y but when I use walletgenerator I get a private key starting with 8. I also see a reference to "Wallet import format". How are all these related? When do I use private key vs wallet import format private key.
Privacy in PIVX comes from zPIV. The wallet generates a zPIV deterministic seed. This is sorta like a private private key. This allows you to access your zPIV balance. zPIV is actually stored in accumulator addresses so no-one can see who owns them unless they have the zPIV seed.
on chainz in the rich page it shows a total wallet count of 63,326. is that or could that be the total number of wallets in existance. So for each block each of those wallets has a chance propotional to the amount of piv or pivz stored under that wallet number.
I suggest having a monitor here on telegram just to remind people they lie that speculation is unwelcome and that you're trying to make a professional business and work within regulations and her being formed excetera excetera this telegram should be used to share pivx developments and nothing further
Yeah. I think we'd likely see the following:Slightly slower zPIV spend (maybe 10-30 seconds more depending on PC?)Lower transaction size (5-50% maybe?)Lower blockchain storage size (close to the same as tx size)
